This course covers from opening your LinkedIn account to optimizing your profile until networking strategies tailored to students. Learn how to craft a profile that showcases your skills, experiences, and aspirations. Discover the secrets to building a professional network that opens doors to opportunities, whether it's internships, job placements, or collaborations.
Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, you'll learn how to engage with LinkedIn's features to stand out in a crowded digital landscape.

Power point presentation will be shared with the students during and after the webinar that will be recorded and upload in Itslearning platform.

Opetusmenetelmät

The students implement their LinkedIn profile (fill out all the sessions of LinkedIn, find the related keywords, develop personal branding and develop a context strategy, expand the network, ask for recommendations and publish them). The students return the link to their LinkedIn profile latest 15th March 2025. It will be checked during the course.

LinkedIn profiles will be submitted before the deadline. You have one chance to take into accounts the teacher´s suggestion to improve your profile.

Webinar + individual tasks will require about 27 hours.
Here's a breakdown of 13 practical exercises students can do to improve their LinkedIn profile:
-Profile Picture: Take a professional-looking profile picture that represents your personal brand well.
-Headline Crafting: Write a catchy headline that showcases your expertise and interests.
-About Section: Craft a captivating summary that highlights your unique skills, experiences, and aspirations.
-Experience Section: Update your work and academic experiences with detailed descriptions and achievements.
-Skill Endorsements and Recommendations: Request endorsements for your skills and seek recommendations from professors, colleagues, or supervisors.
-Keyword Optimization: Research and integrate relevant keywords into your profile to increase visibility in searches.
-Custom URL Creation: Personalize your LinkedIn URL to make it easier to share and remember.
-Education and Certification Updates: Ensure your education and certifications are up-to-date and accurately listed.
-Portfolio and Projects Showcase: Add links or documents showcasing your projects, research papers, or presentations.
-Connect with Classmates and Alumni: Connect with classmates and alumni to expand your network and explore potential opportunities.
-Follow Influencers and Companies: Follow industry influencers and companies to stay updated on trends and insights.
-Content Sharing: Share relevant articles, news, or insights related to your field to establish yourself as a thought leader.
-Endorse and Recommend Connections: Endorse skills or recommend connections to strengthen your professional relationships
