Objective

Course deals with the special features of transmission grids and high voltage engineering. After completing the course, student will:
- know transmission grid structure, components and operational objectives
- can analyze transmission grid in various loading and fault situations
- know the basics of theory related to insulation structures and how they are applied on HV components
- know the basics of electric discharges and transients
- know the basics of high voltage measurements and their special features from the working safety point of view
- is familiar with the contents of SFS 6001
