Foundation Studies in Education/H-H Ped. Inst.Laajuus (10 cr)

Objective

Students get familiar with the teacher profession and pedagogical considerations as sociological, philosophical and psychological phenomenon. The aim is to learn to observe the teaching and learning environment through 'teacher spectacles'.  The student is encouraged to argue the established theories and views in teaching.

Content

Course contents are also filled with aspects of teacher personality, modern educational policies and psychological and philosophical aspects of teaching and learning.
