Objective

The student gains further information on the geotechnical load-bearing capacity of foundations subjected to eccentric load. The student enhances his skills in dimensioning piles, settlements and retaining walls and knows the principles of dewatering systems and design.

Geotechnical bearing capacity of horizontally and eccentrically loaded foundations, dimensioning of bored pile and steel pile, settlement calculation of footing and floor, basics of drainage and drainage plan and dimensioning of retaining wall.
