Objective

Communication is more important management competence area than earlier. The factors and powers affecting on communication development and challenges are related to for example technological developments and overallchanges in society which mirror in organisations, work communities, people's values and thinking.
After completing the course, the student:
- understands the growing importance of communication
- is able to communicate skillfully in his/her management and superior work
- is able to evaluate and develop management communication
- is able to use, evaluate and develop the systems and different channels of management communication
- is able to evaluate and develop his/her own communicational ways of acting

Content

Core contents:
- the fields of management communication
- the centraltheories and research knowledge of management communication and its development: principles and core issues
- the bestpractices and the development of them as a result of for example new ways of organising work
- analysing and developing communcation relationships
- recognization, evaluation and development of one's own communicational styles and practices
