Objective

Students know the properties of steel and stainless steel and steel products, surface treatment of steel structures and fire protection methods. They know the manufacturing, installation and quality assurance criteria. The student knows the joints of steel structures and design principles. The student can use design tables for preliminary designs. Students are familiar with the usual connections of steel structures.
The student knows the most common damage to steel structures. The student knows of repair and reinforcement methods for steel structures. The student knows the materials and products used in load-bearing structures.
