Objective

The student shall be able to

- support parenting during pregnancy or after childbirth
- take into account the special features of maternity care in health care
- practice pregnancy and postpartum monitoring and counseling methods
- support baby-friendly breastfeeding
- promote sexual health of different ages
- apply the knowledge base of children, youth and family nursing when caring for children of different ages in a family-oriented and health-promoting manner.
- take into account the special characteristics of child and adolescent nursing
- practice knowledge and skills in defining, planning, implementing and evaluating the need for child and adolescent nursing
- know how to implement a national vaccination programme
- practice support and guidance for children, young people and families in various health and disease-related situations
- practice nursing decision-making together with the child, young person, family and various professional groups
- support the resources of the child, youth and family to promote health.
