Objective

After completing the course, the students can
• form an understanding of research-based development in professional operations
• utilise the process and methods of applied research/action research as an element of
operational development
• critically examine their development projects in relation to the development activities in their field
• evaluate their development projects
• expediently report on their development projects
• publish the results of their development projects both orally and in writing

Content

• theory of action research and other research traditions used in development work
• working life development project methods
• a foundation for launching and completing development projects
• development projects in their own field
• the information seeking and research methods which serve as a foundation for development work
• development work report formats
