Content scheduling

-Basic of kinematics and kinetics
-In this second course related to strength of materials, the student concentrates on methods to evaluate the deflections in bended beam structures. Furthermore, the shearing stresses and angular deformations and shafts under torsion are considered. Also, principles of buckling and fatigue analysis will be discussed.
Exact TIme table is available in ITslearning portals work space

Objective

After completing the course the student:
- understands the influence of inertia forces and moments to the structures

- analyze the strength of a relatively complex structures

- be able to design structures based on ultimate limit state

- be able to design shafts and buckling structures

- knows the methods to design structures under alternate stress

Content

- kinematics

- kinetics

- deflection curve formula

- torsion shaft design

- buckling

- fatique
