After completing the course, the student:

• understands the importance of continuous product development as part of a successful business (Schedules, Time to Market, Profit)
• is able to make a project plan for the successful product development process
• is able to pay attention to product requirements (customer / user orientation, manufacturing technology, material technology)
• understands product portfolio management (product platforms, modulation, variation, configuration)
