Objective

Objectives
• Students will deepen their competence in the health issues of people of different ages, emergency care administered to support the vital functions of patients and determining the urgency and preliminary diagnosis of care in accordance with the principles of CRM
• Students will learn to use inter-authority cooperation to organize emergency care and further treatment for patients with multiple disorders and their family members
• Students will deepen their competence in environmental safety risks and learn to ensure the operating safety, for example, when dealing with a violent customer
• Students will be able to document and report in emergency care nursing situations and have command of VIRVE communications
• Students will be able to review sustainable development from the perspective of preventive social work

Content

Contents
• Interviewing and examining patients of different ages (ABCDE), assessment of need for care and the resources needed, making preliminary diagnoses and providing palliative emergency care
• Working in pairs, work with CRM
• Patient monitoring and the use of care and examination equipment
• Pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy in basic emergency care, advanced level medication used in the care of internal medicine patients
• Documentation and reporting (ISBAR)
• VIRVE communities in different operating environments
• A work method that promotes the patient’s resources, command of aseptic techniques and ergonomic working methods in emergency care situations
• The most common situations in which emergency care is needed for acute patients and how to manage them
• Advanced tactical resuscitation protocol in accordance with the Current Care Guidelines
• Inter-authority cooperation (incl. protection of children and the elderly)
