Tavoitteet
Opiskelija:
• osaa soveltaa tietojaan perheen tarpeisiin ja odotuksiin perustuvassa äitiyteen ja
• vanhemmuuteen liittyvässä terveysneuvonnassa
• osaa soveltaa tietojaan asiakasta ja hänen perhettään raskauteen ja vanhemmuuteen liittyvissä erityiskysymyksissä
• osaa toimia imetysohjaajana
• osaa soveltaa tietojaan perheen seksuaaliterveyteen liittyvissä asioissa

Sisältö
• vanhemmuuden ja varhaisen vuorovaikutuksen tukeminen
• raskauden ja lapsivuodeajan seuranta, hoito ja ohjaus äitiyshuollossa
• raskauteen ja lapsivuodeaikaan liittyvät erityiskysymykset
• perhevalmennusimetysohjaus-perhesuunnitteluohjaus (plissit-malli ja ehkäisyneuvonta)
• raskauteen ja vanhemmuuteen liittyvät erityiskysymykset esim. mielenterveys
• kotikäynti

Objective

Students will
• Learn to apply their knowledge in health advice regarding motherhood and parenthood based on the needs and expectations of families
• Learn to apply their knowledge to answer the customer’s and her family’s special questions regarding pregnancy and parenthood
• Learn to work as a breastfeeding counsellor
• Learn to apply their knowledge in matters regarding the family’s sexual health

Contents

• Support for parenthood and early interaction
• Monitoring, care and guidance of the pregnancy and postpartum period in prenatal care
• Special questions regarding pregnancy and the postpartum period
• Family planning guidance, breastfeeding counselling (plissit model and contraceptive advice)
• Special questions related to pregnancy and parenthood, e.g. mental health
• House call
