Objective
Students will learn to
- explain the epidemiology and basics of etiology and pathophysiology in national diseases
- identify the most common risk factors of national diseases
- identify the importance of the prevention of national diseases and know the key prevention methods
Content
- Special characteristics of Finnish public health
- The major groups of national diseases, such as hypertension, cerebrovascular accidents, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Epidemiology, pathophysiology
- Prevention of national diseases
- Identifying the importance of multi-professional cooperation in the prevention of national diseases
