Objective

The participants are able to explain the connection between biomaterials structure, properties and manufacturing. The participants are able to describe and select different characterization methods for different biomaterials. The participants are able to prepare biomaterials for tissue engineering and to describe the specific features of the preparation process. The participants are able to manufacture typical molecules for diagnostics or other industrially important molecules by bioprocesses. The participants are able to apply the basic methods of genetic engineering for production of biomolecules. The participants are able to outline the main principles needed in the planning of a bioprocess.
