Objective

The student shall be able to- describe the perioperative treatment process of an adult patient, its special characteristics and documentation- work in a multidisciplinary work team in surgical and anaesthesiological treatment- master the basic principles of surgical and anaesthesiological nursing and explain his or her actions based on current research data- use essential surgical and anaesthesiological treatment instruments safely- improve his or her competences in medicinal and infusion treatment of perioperative patients- apply his or her knowledge to aseptic procedures and infection control- master the most common anaesthesiological and pain relief methods- monitor the patient's vital functions during and after anaesthetics and carry out the related procedures- describe the premises for radiological examinations and radiation therapy- acquire information about how to prepare and protect the patient in examinations and protect his or her own safety as well- describe the anatomy and physiology of human pain, the nervous system and sensory functions (sight and hearing)
