Objective

The student shall be able to- guide pregnant and postpartum women and families as well as gynaecological patients in essential problems relating to the treatment of pregnancy, puerperal period and gynaecological disorders- describe changes to human health and treatment solutions by using knowledge of nursing, surgery, anaesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and nutrition.define the contents and meaning of concepts used in sexual and reproductive health in promoting the individual's and family's health- explain the anatomy and physiology of human reproduction- understand the significance of a person's cultural background in treatment and the principles of working in a multicultural work community- explain the essential observation methods in nursing during pregnancy and the contents of health guidance- describe the stages and nursing methods of normal parturition- observe and treat a postpartum mother during the puerperal period- explain sexual and reproductive health in medicinal and infusion treatment- explain special nutritional issues relating to pregnancy and the puerperal period- describe the most common disorders relating to pregnancy, their causes, symptoms and treatment.- remember the principles of medical treatment of parturition- explain the most common gynaecological disorders, their prevention, causes, symptoms and treatment.- define and document the treatment needs, methods, implementation and assessment of a gynaecological patient from a nursing perspective
