Objective

In the end of course student:
- is familiar with the general requirements set for machine design
- has skills to design a working and manufacturing friendly mechanical machine
- is able to work in a design team
- understands the importance of quality, time schedules, production issues and cost control
- is capable to use modularisation, standard parts and machine design software programs

Content

During the course a mechanical machine based on given specification is designed. The design task is shared to work packages and scheduled targeting to production plans as a final result. The operation of the machine to be simulated if possible. Design task degree of difficulty is fitted comparable with the credits.

The designed machine will be built and tested during the following modules.
