Objective

The students will be able to
• use image editing software and apply the knowledge in their own work
• produce high-quality digital image files with a digital camera and scanner.
• apply the basic concepts of the digital image in their work.
• use and apply the basic concepts of digital colour management.
• use the school’s printers and apply the basic concepts of printing.

Content

On this course, the students will focus on the basics of digital photography and apply this knowledge in their own photographic expression. During the course, the students will concentrate on the theory of digital image, different types of digital cameras, colour management and printing and learn the technique of scanning from print and film originals.

Käytännönläheistä työskentelyä, kokeellista tutkimista ja teoreettista pohdintaa suhteessa opiskelijan omaan työskentelyyn sekä näistä lähtökohdista syntyvien taiteellisten aihioiden purkamista ryhmäkeskusteluissa.
