Content scheduling
Course focus to concepts and steering mechanisms of energy efficiency. Selected case examples are used to demonstrate ways to improve energy efficiency in practice.
1. EU objectives, directives and other legislation related to energy efficiency.
2. Typical process to assess energy efficiency.
3. Possibilities to improve energy efficiency in power and heat systems.
4. Case examples including profitability assessment.
5. Funding of energy efficiency improvements.
Objective
After completing the course, student will
- recall regulation related to energy efficiency
- describe typical energy consumptions in most common energy systems/equipment and what they depend on
- can analyze heat and electrical losses in energy systems (measurements and calculations)
- identify methods to improve energy efficiency in typical heat and electrical energy systems
- evaluate energy related costs in different systems and compare profitability of different actions
- recalls most typical incentives and contract models related to energy efficiency
