DESCRIPTION
The student searches for the internship place himself and, after receiving it, fills in the information about the internship place on the form.
1. If he/she receives a salary for a traineeship, he/she normally concludes an employment contract with the traineeship which does not need to be returned to itslearning.
2. In an unpaid internship, the student signs an internship agreement with the internship (download and fill) and sends it to the internship supervisor (hazem.al-bermanei@turkuamk.fi), who enters the agreement into the electronic signing process (AtomiSign). A plan is always made for the training. The plan will be returned to Itslearning no later than the first days of the traineeship.
After the internship, the student conducts a self-assessment of the internship and requests either a certificate of employment or an internship evaluation from the internship place (working place) and returns it.
An alternative method of completing basic practical training is the recognition of previous work experience. In this case, a certificate of employment and a self-assessment of basic training are returned as documents.
Objective
- The student learns the social skills needed in working life
- The student orientates himself / herself to the field of energy and environment engineering
- The student becomes trained to applying jobs
- The student is able to report on the work and its results
Teaching methods
Basic practical training is usually carried out in the summer of the 1st year of study, but it can also be completed later - either in the summer or during the academic year.
An alternative method of completing basic practical training is the recognition of previous work experience. In this case, a certificate of employment and a brief description of how the work experience has achieved the objectives of the basic internship (on the basic internship self-assessment form) are returned as documents.
