Content scheduling

The student deepens his know-how and practise in the method of printmaking chosen by student.

Student researches phenomena and artists of chosen printmaking expression and presents that to the group.
Weekly meetings with the group every tuesday at 10.

Student participates to final presentation in December 12th.

Objective

The students will develop their skills in goal-oriented and methodical working. They will expand their understanding on prints as a method and form of expression in contemporary art.

Content

On this course, the students will expand their competence in a selected method. The course introduces Printmaking in the field of Contemporary Art using topical techniques and methods. The course will be integrated with Printmaking as Expression II.

Materials

Student workload

Tavoitteen asettaminen ja esittely, työskentely ja reflektoiva teksti.

tavoitteellinen työskentely neljän viikon ajan opettajan läsnäollessa, taide-esittely, lyhyt analyysi omasta tekemisestä, presentaatio työskentelystä ja sen tuotoksista.

Opiskelija valitsee kurssin tuotoksista teoksen tai sarjan tai teosparin, josta kirjoittaa reflektoivan tekstin. Tekstissä vastaat esim. seuraaviin kysymyksiin: mitä opit menetelmästä sihen syventyessäsi, minkälaisen prosessin tulos se on, onko aihe kenties sellainen, jota käsittelet muillakin mediumeilla, mitä lähdeaineistoa käytit.

Opiskelija varautuu hankkimaan pääasiallisesti käyttämänsä materiaalin, paperit ja painovärit itse. Näistä voi sopia ja tarkentaa etukäteen opettajan kanssa. Luokan laitteisto ja välineet ja apuaineet käytettävissä asianmukaiseen käyttötarkoitukseen.
