Objective

After a completed unit the student masters the basics concepts of bridge construction, is familiar with the different steps in bridge planning and construction and understands their effect on the environment, knows the most common types of steel, reinforced concrete and wooden bridges and their structures, and is able to produce general plans and layouts and design falsework.
