Timetable will be clarified in the beginning of the course.

Content:

Production process types, layouts and production strategies.
Resource planning, S&OP, aggregate production planning, MPS, scheduling, production activity control.
Capacity management: capacity planning decisions, capacity planning and control techniques, OEE.

Objective

After studying the course the student:
-will be able to do production planning
-will understand why and how capacity planning and control is carried out in production environment
-will be able to select appropriate methods and techniques for planning and controlling production process.
-will be able to do capacity planning and control for different kind of processes in different industries in different time horizons
-will be able to create and run a basic simulation model of production process by using a simulation tool and use the simulation for process improvement

-(Production) planning in different time horizons (S&OP, production planning, MPS, production activity control)
-Capacity management: capacity planning decisions, capacity planning and control techniques

By listening, reading, examining, analyzing, synthesizing, explaining others and writing to learn more of Production planning.and learning by doing

Exam schedules

Exam will take place at the end of the course. Time will be discussed at the beginning of the course.
Re-exam can be taken two times. Time will be informed later at the end of the course.
