Objective

- you understand the concepts of social inclusion and community, and the important role they play in people’s well-being
- you know how to promote a sense of community and the inclusion of individuals and groups through different methods
- you are able to view individuals as part of their social network and living environment and use the resources of the network for the benefit of the client
- you know how to perform advocacy in collaboration with residents and clients
- you are familiar with municipalities’ and organisations’ activities to promote health and well-being and to prevent problems related to them, and you know how to use these services

Content

- the levels of social inclusion
- the ways citizens, municipality residents, clients and social service workers can engage in advocacy
- a social pedagogical approach, social inclusion and exclusion
- participatory and collaborative methods such as art-based participatory methods and social network mapping
- regional social work and analysis

Luento-opetus ja tehtävät 2op (Sisältää blogi-kirjoittelun)
Hanketyöskentely 3 op

Student workload

Luennot, luennoilla tehtävät yksilö-ja ryhmätehtävät sekä luennoista blogi-kirjoitukset parin kanssa. Kaikki luento-opetuksen tehtävät tulee olla tehtynä kurssin päättyessä.(2op) Arvioidaan hyväksytty/ hylätty.

Luentojen lähiopetus 100% läsnäolo, 50% voi korvata korvaavalla tehtävällä täyd. / hyv. Poissaolon korvaavan tehtävän palautus viimeistään 11.4.2025
Tehtäviä ei oteta vastaan 11.4. 2025 jälkeen, opiskelija ilmoittautuu seuraavalle toteutukselle.

Hanketyöskentely:
Hanketyöstä tulee kurssin arvosana. Hankeiden ohjaajat kertovat tarkemmat tiedot 5.9. hankealoituksessa. Hanke päättyy 31.10. jolloin hankkeen lopputyöt tulee olla palautettuna.
