Objectives

Student:
• gains experience in independent and team work
• knows how to follow the principles of research ethics
• knows how to responsibly manage collaborative partnerships
• develops and demonstrates capabilities to apply their knowledge and skills in expert tasks related to their vocational studies
• recognises and is able to utilise guidance in a manner that helps advance their thesis
• can present the progress of their work and give and receive constructive feedback
• demonstrates their familiarity with the field of their thesis and language skills
• knows how to implement a workplace-oriented research and development project
• knows how to document their work and communicate the results
• knows how to report and produce a written thesis
• publishes their thesis according to instructions

Completion alternatives

Aiemmissa opinnoissa tehty opinnäytetyö voidaan hyväksilukea osittain tai kokonaan siltä osin kuin se täyttää tutkinto-ohjelman määrittelemät opinnäytetyön osaamistavoitteet. Kun opinnäytetyö hyväksi luetaan osittain, aikaisempi opinnäytetyö korvaa prosessin, mutta ei käynnissä olevan tutkinnon asiantuntijuutta. Tällöin osaaminen osoitetaan näyttönä, esimerkiksi kirjoittamalla asiantuntijuusartikkeli tai ohjaajan kanssa sovitulla muulla tavalla.

- Itsenäinen työskentely, opinnäytetyön toteutus ja kirjallisen tuotoksen laatiminen 135 t (5 op)
- Tiimityöskentely + ohjaukset (1 op)
