Objective

The student can
- understand the basics of watercolor techniques and their application in their own expression.
- use their knowledge of color theory and composition in practice
- construct color effects in painting using optical mixing.
- apply what they have learned and understand the concepts, history, and possibilities of watercolor as a means of expression in contemporary painting.

Content

The student will become familiar with the theory and practice of watercolor techniques, its tools and expressive basics, and color perception. In joint exercises and independent work, the student experiments with a variety of techniques and seeks their own expression through watercolor painting. The student will become familiar with the specific characteristics of watercolor techniques in relation to the means of expression of other painting techniques. Students will actively participate in guidance, lectures and feedback discussions.
