Osaamistavoitteet

The objective of the course is to familiarize the student with building automation systems. After completing the course the student:
- Know the typical HVAC system used in buildings
- Know the capabilities of building automation systems and their typical applications in the fields of energy efficiency, safety and living comfort.
- Can describe the structure, common components, and methods of implementation of building- and home automation systems
- Can interpret the essential rules, instructions and standards for implementing building automation systems
- Can design a specification of an automation system for a residential building, and select the necessary components
- Is familiar with the installation and parameter settings of building automation system in practice
