Objective

After completing the course, the student will be able to
- understand the possibilities of working as a visual artist and in different jobs in the field of art
- evaluate their art and skills
- present their work verbally, in writing and in the form of a portfolio
- analyse their own entrepreneurial skills and their own entrepreneurial identity
- independently obtain information and find the necessary guidance services
- basic skills for preparing professional applications
- define the basic principles of contract law
- recognise the importance of contracts in working life and in their field of activity
- explain the main content of copyright and copyright law
- identify the obligations and rights arising from copyright law in the context of their professional activities
- identify professional and copyright organisations relevant to their profession

Content

The course will consider how to find employment as a visual artist. The theme is approached through current phenomena and issues in the field of art. The course introduces students to various actors in the field of art and seeks to understand the possibilities for visual artists in a wide range of artistic and cultural activities. In addition, career planning and entrepreneurship will be discussed, as well as the basics of copyright and contract law in the visual arts. The course includes lectures, exercises, discussions and expert visitors.
