Objective

After taking the course, the student understands:
- workpiece fasteners, sheet metal work tools, injection moulds and tools required by production automation
- manages the technical and financial significance of the design and manufacture of work tools and product design for product development and the product's entire business chain
- knows how to prepare tool plans for conventional manufacturing methods
- know the basics of production process planning (production line, functional layout, cell layout)
- forms of production, stages of production planning, Lean and JIT principles, basics of production layout planning
- knows the concept of job productivity research and can make development proposals to improve productivity
- identify digital tools for tool design and manufacturing
