Objective
The course deals with electrical installation design, the various stages of the planning process, and the ways to create planning documents. After completing the course, the student:
- Can explain the design process, identifies the various stages of it, and recognize the interfaces to other parties involved in the design
- Outlines the typical tasks of an electrical designer and related professional requirements
- Identifies the most common symbols used in electrical drawings, and can interpret electrical drawings
- Can list the documents needed in electrical installation planning, and knows the practices and instructions related to them
- Knows at least one electrical planning software, and can use it to create electrical drawings
- Can create an electrical plan (exercise)
