Objective
After completing the course, student will
- understand the principles of energy conversion from wind kinetic energy to electrical energy
- know the fundamentals of how wind power systems are controlled in the level of turbines and wind farms
- be able to calculate the maximal peak power and annual energy production (AEP) for a wind turbines and farms
- can describe the components of modern wind turbine and wind farm
- be familiar with wind power system related design and simulation software
