Objective

After completing the course, the student:

PLM:
· is familiar with the products whole life cycle from the idea to product design, from manufacturing to operating and from maintenance up to final disposal.
· Is able to use the distributed design system where product development and design are distributed in time and place

Design and costs:

• Understand the impact of product design on product life cycle costs
• Understand LEAN principles from a design perspective
