Objective
The course introduces organizations acting in the marine industry. During the course students get familiar with information sources and understand importance of critical evaluation of information. The course explains the tasks and purpose of several types of vessels as well as role of regulatory bodies and rules and regulations.
Content
Sea traffic and ship production -course covers business environment of marine industry. Organizations, terminology, several types of ships, sea freight and main sailing routes and ports are introduced. Cruise ships and ice going vessels are of special interest.
