Objective

The student knows the stages, regulations and instructions of earth and rock construction. He knows the special features of construction site planning and organization. The student knows the basics of excavation work and blasting regulations and instructions. The student knows the main features of earthworks and excavation equipment. He knows the environmental effects of earth and rock construction.
The student knows the normal working methods and regulations for the construction of traffic areas and municipal engineering. He knows pipelines and their substructures as well as structural layers and superstructures in traffic areas. He knows the special features of work planning and organization of traffic areas and municipal engineering.

Content

The student will do an exercise where based on pipe and road construction plans, the quantity calculations required by earthworks are made in terms of excavation and filling works and materials, and work methods and earthworks machines are defined. During the exercise the terminologies and key work methods related to infrastructure earth construction and blasting technology will be learned.
