Objective
The study unit introduces students to the basics of the specific features of different fields of technology and increases their technical skills. The aim is also to enable students to think about their own career options and development needs.
The student will be able to:
Vehicle technology
- Identify components, parts and systems used in vehicles
- outline the principles of their operation
Electrical engineering
- basic concepts of electrical engineering
- describe the function of components used in electrical engineering
Process engineering
- describe the equipment and methods used in different unit operations and processes, heat transfer and fluid transfer
- to describe the specific characteristics of different chemical industry processes
Material and manufacturing technology in the metal industry
- describe the properties of metals, microstructure, composition, heat treatment and the most common steel, cast iron and aluminium alloys and corrosion protection
- outline the manufacturing methods used in the metal industry.
