Objective

During the study of the course operations management, students will deepen their understanding of industrial processes. Students will learn about directing, designing, delivering and developing operations that are involved in manufacturing products and services.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Explain the fundamental principles of operations management and its role in achieving organizational goals.
Understand how operations strategies align with business strategies and respond to market needs.
Analyze and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer value.
Evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement through innovation, lean practices, and quality management.
Recognize the importance of people, technology, and design in shaping effective operations.
Understand the key components of logistics, including cost structures and product classification based on logistical characteristics, and select appropriate transportation modes and methods accordingly.
