Objective

The student is able to
- explain the impact of limitations, symptoms, and medical interventions related to the functions of the neck-shoulder area, upper limb, and temporomandibular joint on the functional capacity of clients of different ages,
- reliably and repeatably, appropriately, and ethically examine and assess the client's functional capacity at different levels of the ICF (participation, performance, structure) by applying evidence-based physiotherapy methods,
- draw correct conclusions from the results of the physiotherapeutic examination to explain the client's functional capacity and problems at the levels of structure, performance, and participation,
- explain and implement the principles of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and guidance to maintain or promote the client's performance and participation.

Content

Key symptoms of the structures in the neck and shoulder area, shoulder, and other upper limb, and their specific and functional physiotherapeutic examination, clinical reasoning, and physiotherapeutic diagnosis; critical evaluation of various clinical tests; evidence-based therapeutic exercise; physiotherapeutic examination of neurodynamics and the basics of neural tissue mobilization; planning, implementation, and evaluation of the physiotherapy process based on evidence and considering various medical interventions.

Qualifications

Courses
The Basics of Examination and Exercising the Function of the Client’s Pelvic Area and Lower Limb and its prerequisite studies.
The Basics of Examination and Exercising the Function of Client’s Thoracic and Lower Spine Areas must be successfully completed before the actual exam of the course and at least started before the course begins.
