Objective

The student is able to
- explain the significance of scientific research for the development of the profession,
- critically evaluate the reliability of scientific research and its applicability to physiotherapy,
- apply scientific research to clinical physiotherapy work,
- critically assess the prevailing practices in the field of physiotherapy.

Content

The significance of evidence-based practice, interpretation of the results from literature reviews, meta-analyses, meta-syntheses, and RCT studies, and assessment of risk of bias, application of research findings into clinical work, critical evaluation of physiotherapy practices.
