Objective
The student is able to
• use both anatomical, physiological and biomechanical knowledge in examining and analyzing human movement and functioning and it’s subareas,
• examine and analyze human movement and functional capacity at different ICF levels,
• draw up conclusions based on examination and analysis,
• identify the main features of moving in people at different ages,
• explain how different factors effect on the development of motion and movement in different ages,
• describe human positions, movements and functioning in oral and written form using professional terminology.
Content
Examining positions, basic movements, gait and functioning of clients at different ages by observation and measurements, utilizing measurement technology and analyzing results of examination. The relationship between age and ability to function.
Basics of observation: timing, movement in relation to gravity and action, base of support, gravity, center of gravity, power point of force, resultant force, force arm, load and load arm, forms of muscle work, somatosensory system and balance system as phenomena, examining and analyzing balance
