Objective
The student:
• Can describe the mechanisms, symptoms, studies and medical treatments of key internal medicine diseases
• Students will know the most common internal diseases and the treatment path of internal medicine patients
• Students will be able to identify internal medicine patients’ needs for treatment, to plan, perform and assess the treatment and to make the required evidence-based conclusions
• Students will know how to perform the common treatment and nursing methods applied in the care of an internal medicine patient by observing patient safety
• Students will understand the importance and role of a nurse in the provision of guidance and support related to self-care
• Students can perform the methods required in the provision of guidance and instructions related to self-care
• Can monitor, implement and control the effects, side effects and adverse effects of the most common drug and fluid therapies used in internal medicine
