Objective

Sustainable and responsible working life (2 ECTS)
From the Sustainable and Responsible Working Life perspective the student is able to
- analyse the practices of various actors in their professional field from the perspective of sustainability and responsibility, taking into account the different dimensions of sustainable development and the specific characteristics of the sector
• review critically and question the prevailing practices in working life, related to instructing, implementing, monitoring and reporting sustainability and responsibility;
• propose improvements to the sustainability and responsibility related practices of a specific organisation.

Project competence
The student
· practises project-based development activities related to nursing
· plans, implements and reports on a project that develops nursing or enriches nursing in cooperation with working life, the project or the UAS business
· the project training may also be combined with a traineeship by combining it with another clinical practice period or project

Entrepreneurial competence
The student
· completes their clinical practice in a company, a social enterprise or business of a university of applied sciences or other operating environment that meets the characteristics of business activities
· learns about the principles of business operations and their implementation, ensuring profitability and managing customer relationships
· learns about the laws, permit procedures and instructions governing business operations
· familiarises themselves with business communications and marketing
· learns the employer's and employee's obligations and rights
· understands the factors of success in business, continuous development and innovation

· Project characteristics and theory of project implementation
· Project plan, implementation and reporting
· Practical application of management theory
· Cooperation and teamwork skills
· Practical application of the theory of quality management and quality development
· Criteria for nursing expertise and the path towards expertise
· Internal entrepreneurship
· Basic knowledge of business activities, different companies and company forms
· Marketing, communication and branding
· Labour legislation and collective agreements.

The content varies depending on the place of clinical practice and the objectives of the course.
