• Understand the development of a healthy child
• Know how to promote the healthy growth and development of children and identify any deviations
• Know how to support parenthood and recognize resources and risk factors
• Know how to guide children and families and benefit from health care technology
• Know how to promote patient safety in nursing
• Know how to retrieve and apply evidence-based information
• Know how to determine and document the care needs of a child patient, plan and administer nursing and evaluate its effectiveness
• Become familiar with common diseases of children and adolescents, as well as their prevention, treatment and rehabilitation methods
• Understand resuscitation and advanced resuscitation of children
• Understand the pharmacological grounds of paediatric pharmacotherapy and learn to safely administer pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy to child patients
