The student
- recognises the needs associated with the care and promotion of oral health in patients with caries
- knows how to carry out treatment methods that belong to the responsibility of a dental hygienist in the treatment of patients with caries
- recognises periodontal diseases as infectious diseases and knows the factors affecting their pathogenesis, progress and healing
- knows the factors affecting the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases
- knows how to carry out basic and maintenance treatment methods available to a dental hygienist in the treatment of patients with periodontal diseases
