Assessment is based on learning tasks. The learning tasks must be submitted according to the given schedule. There is no common exam day.

Student workload

Each topic includes a video explaining the subject matter. After watching the video, the student completes and submits the related assignments. Some assignments are multiple-choice, while others require submission.

Content scheduling

The course consists of three parts:
1. Lean Basics - An overview of Lean principles at a general level
2. Principles of Lean - A deeper dive into Lean principles and tools
3. Quality Control Tools - An introduction to the most common quality tools

The course runs throughout the spring of 2025 (January 13th - May 31st), and all assignments must be successfully completed by the end of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is assessed based on assignments, some of which are graded as pass/fail and others on a scale of 1-5.

Tasks, claims and assignment: Passed/failed
Quizzes: Grades 1 to 5, 50% correct answers needed for ‘pass’ (grade 1).
The final grade for the course will be the average of all the quizzes.

The final evaluation ensures that the assignments meet the given criteria and that all tasks have been successfully completed. The criteria and more detailed instructions can be found in the learning platform. The course is evaluated at the end of the term.

Not all assignments have been successfully completed by the deadline.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The average grade of all tests is 1 or 2. A grade of 1 requires 50% correct answers, and a grade of 2 requires 60% correct answers.
All assignments must be successfully completed by the deadline.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The average grade of all tests is 3 or 3. A grade of 3 requires 70% correct answers, and a grade of 4 requires 80% correct answers.
All assignments must be successfully completed by the deadline.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The average grade of all tests is 5. A grade of 5 requires 90% correct answers.
