Osaajakoulutukset are studies aimed at acquiring new skills without obtaining a degree. Students receive a certificate upon completion of the studies.

The Responsible Textile and Fashion Industry course helps you understand the importance of sustainability and how to apply what you learn to your own needs. The course consists of 11 modules that cover various topics related to sustainability in the textile and fashion industry. The modules are designed specifically for professionals in the industry or students aspiring to work in the field, who want to develop their skills in sustainability.

The modules include topics such as responsible design and pattern making, production planning, sustainability standards and ethical labels, responsible supply chain management, responsible materials, responsible e-commerce and content creation, as well as responsible and profitable project management and quality management. In addition, the course includes a project on turning waste materials into profitable products, providing you with practical experience in developing sustainable and responsible products. The modules also cover intellectual property rights (IPR) from a sustainability perspective.

The course is offered in collaboration with Turku University of Applied Sciences and Turku Vocational Institute. The theoretical studies provide basic knowledge of sustainability in the textile and fashion industry. In addition, the practical exercises included in the modules guide you in applying what you have learned in practical situations and developing your own skills.

The course is designed to be flexible, allowing you to complete the entire course or just certain modules according to your own needs and schedule. You can choose the modules that best match your development needs and interests.
