Objective

The student will be capable of:
- describing the components and working principles of automotive electrical systems
- explaining the operation of automotive charging, starting, ignition and lighting systems
- dimensioning and selecting wiring and other devices and drawing wiring diagrams
- applying his or her knowledge to electrical troubleshooting and other duties

- electric wiring, switches and protection of electric circuits in an automobile
- automotive alternator and starter circuits
- wiring diagrams
- automotive lights, their structure and legislation
- other components belonging to basic vehicle electrics
