Objective

Having completed the study unit, the participants are able to describe typicalmanufacturing processes that are composed of several different unit operations andunit processes. The participants are also able to describe equipment and methodsused in different unit operations and unit processes, heat transfer, and fluid transfer.

Basics of chemical engineering, unit operations and unit processes and examples ofequipment and methods, basics of heat and fluid transfer, valves, pump operations anddimensioning of heat transfer and fluid transfer equipment.
