Objective

The student gains an understanding of different photographic practices from an artistic perspective. The focus is on experiential knowledge. Recognizing the variety of contexts and practices strengthens the students own practice.

Content

The course will survey contemporary trends and themes in art and photography and relate them to the students own practice. Under survey are different currents and working practices of contemporary photography as well as aesthetic trends and themes.
