Designing of A HouseLaajuus (6 cr)

Objective

After the course the student:- knows the basics of designing a house as well as the regulations set by the authorities- is able to make sketches and a final drawing of an one-family house- masters the methods of co-operation in a building design- masters the facade sections- masters the top/roof structures-improves the student's knowledge of construction regulations concerning supplementary building components. The course contains window and door types, skylights, partition wall, ceiling and floor structures including fire protection-improves the student's knowledge of construction of a house with help of a workshop.- is familiar with the basics of acoustic insulation and damping from the building and civil engineering -point of view- is familiar with different surface materials (floor, wall and ceiling).
