Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to

- explain the basic features of drama
- explain the ways of using the manuscript's methods in their own work
- write and read manuscript format
- list the differences between writing drama, prose and dialogue
- reflect on ways to develop one's own writer's identity and writing style
- show fairness, fairness, appreciation and respect for others.

Content

The screenwriting course introduces the basics of screenwriting; character, plot, tension, world, theme, synopsis, dialogue. The exercises provide an understanding of the nature of a screenwriter's work. We focus on developing story lines and practicing the short format both by writing and pitching.
